Oktoberfest Table Alert ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Oktoberfest Table Alert mobile application and web service (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide

• Account information:Email address, and optionally your phone number.
• Password: stored only in hashed form.
• Alarm and notification settings: your preferences for table alerts and push notifications.

Automatically Collected Information

• Usage data (device type, OS, app version, feature interactions).
• Notification metadata (delivery status and timestamps – no message content is stored).

We do not collect precise location data, health data, or any sensitive personal information beyond what is listed above.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information to create accounts, deliver reservation alerts and notifications, handle billing via RevenueCat, and improve the Service.

Communications and SMS Notifications

We may send you transactional SMS notifications if you have a Premium subscription and have explicitly opted in. These messages include premium activation confirmations, table availability alarms and important account updates.

SMS are sent via our third-party provider Twilio. Message and data rates may apply.

You provide explicit consent to receive SMS when you purchase Premium, enter your phone number and confirm that you want SMS notifications in the app.

If an SMS notification cannot be delivered, we may automatically send the same message via WhatsApp (powered by Twilio) as a fallback. This only happens for users who have opted in to SMS notifications. Message and data rates may apply. WhatsApp is subject to Meta’s terms and privacy policy.

You can manage or disable SMS notifications at any time under Profile → Notification Settings. Message frequency is low, typically only a few times per week.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data.

We only share data with trusted service providers (RevenueCat, Stripe, Twilio) who are contractually bound to protect it, or when required by law.

We share phone numbers with Twilio solely for the purpose of delivering transactional SMS notifications you have opted into.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers in the EU/EEA.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact us at the email below to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app and on this page.
